03 · HOW TO PLAY

Playing this build

1Early preparation

While using Default Sword and Shield, combine the starting Ice Bolt grimoire with weapon attacks. Physical damage amplification is reduced by 20%, so use magic to supplement your damage. Keep enough MP for Block and Cleave. Use the items prepared at the Wishing Fountain; the final weapon's unique effect becomes available after evolution.

2Upgrades and transition

Default Sword and Shield → Frost Shard → Glacial Blade. Intermediate weapon effect: Cold Damage increases by 5. After the final evolution: Obtain Scabbard of Exorcism and use its 50% faster charge to repeatedly fire ice sword waves. The projectiles become smaller, so aim straight at enemies when they stop moving.

3Combat loop

  1. Watch the scabbard's charge and line enemies up in front of you.
  2. Once charged, use a normal attack to fire the ice sword wave.
  3. Use the starting ice spell and normal attacks while preparing the next charge.

Boss fights

Land the small sword wave just as the boss finishes moving.

Without the core items

Without the scabbard, rely on Charm of Intelligence and the starting Ice Bolt while making the scabbard your top acquisition priority.
