Playing this build
1Early preparation
With the Default Sword and Shield, progress using normal attack chains and Cleave after blocking from the front. Block and Cleave both consume MP, so keep enough MP for defense. Use the items prepared at the Wishing Fountain; the final weapon's unique effect becomes available after evolution.
2Upgrades and transition
Default Sword and Shield → Conductor → Ballista Sword. Intermediate weapon effect: Lightning Damage increases by 5. After the final evolution: With Mini Ballista equipped, its arrows track enemies, pass through walls, and fire additional shots whenever you block successfully. While the invulnerable Ballista attacks, position yourself where you can block safely.
3Combat loop
- Face an enemy's single-hit attack while the Ballista fires.
- Block successfully to fire extra arrows, then reposition.
- Activate the Storm Cloud combo and use the Storm Clouds gained from Electric Arrow hits.
Boss fights
The Ballista may be invulnerable, but your Mole character is not. Do not force extra blocks against multi-hit attacks.
Without the core items
Without Mini Ballista, progress with normal attacks and prioritize acquiring it. Conductor's lightning damage increase does not by itself convert all weapon attacks to lightning.
