01 · SETUP

Starting setup

Availability depends on your unlocks

Recommended character

Armored Bunny

Gain 10 defense to help in melee, but lose 15 maximum HP.

Fruit skewer 6 total

  • Guardian Fruit(Guardian)×3
  • Peanut(Sturdy)×2
  • Watermelon(Lake)×1

Wishing fountain Fountain usage 7 of 9

  • Cloth ArmorCapacity 3
  • Radiating CharmCapacity 4
Why this choice
Prepare Cloth Armor and Radiating Charm at the Wishing Fountain. This uses 7/9 capacity, and the items must be unlocked first. Then collect items in the same categories to complete the target combos.

Talents 50 points

  • Willpower20
  • Endure20
  • Wrath10
Why this choice
Willpower 20 adds 15 maximum HP and 25 maximum MP and provides 9 Wishing Fountain capacity. Endure 20 adds 20 defense and grants the designated slab. When HP is below 25, recover 1 HP per second. Revive once at 60% HP upon death. Wrath 10 adds 10% critical chance and 20% critical damage. Damage dealt to bosses and minibosses also increases by 10%. Uses 50 points in total.

Recommended miracle

Attendant

  • Defense +15
  • Gain 1 Guardian artifact (selected from unlocked, eligible candidates)
Why this choice
Add 15 defense for melee survivability and gain 1 Guardian artifact to help form combos. The granted item is selected from candidates that meet the unlock and eligibility requirements, so a particular core item is not guaranteed.

Stat priorities

  1. Defense
  2. Special attack damage and physical damage after blocking
  3. MP regeneration and maximum MP
  4. Core artifact levels and defensive stats

02 · SYNERGY

Target bonds and core items

Prioritize the items below when available. Reaching the target combo requires additional items of the same category and their placement; leveling an item alone does not increase the combo count.

Primary

Guardian

8Combo target
  • Cloth Armor

Increase defense to reduce incoming damage in melee combat.

  • Beast's Heart

Increase defense and all damage amplification to support both offense and survival. Also gain additional luck.

  • Pan Lid

Improve MP regeneration and evasion. Landing a physical critical hit also grants the Endure buff, which increases defense.

Bond choices and conditions
Increase defense to support both Shield Bash's extra damage and survivability. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.
Support

Sturdy

4Combo target
  • Shield Training Manual

Increase special attack damage to strengthen your main special attack.

  • Radiating Charm

Physical damage temporarily increases after a successful block, strengthening follow-up attacks. The duration shown in the official description is unclear, so check the buff's status during combat.

Bond choices and conditions
Strengthen Shield Bash by increasing special-attack damage and physical damage after blocking. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.
Support

Lake

3Combo target
  • Endoditte’s Paperweight

Increase both maximum MP and MP regeneration to sustain abilities that consume MP.

  • White Branch

Increase MP regeneration to help use MP-consuming abilities again.

Bond choices and conditions
Secure the MP needed for Shield Bash and blocking. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.

03 · HOW TO PLAY

Playing this build

1Early preparation

With the Default Sword and Shield, progress using normal attack chains and Cleave after blocking from the front. Block and Cleave both consume MP, so keep enough MP for defense. Use the items prepared at the Wishing Fountain; the final weapon's unique effect becomes available after evolution.

2Upgrades and transition

Default Sword and Shield → Protection of the Fuzz → Stone Sword. Intermediate weapon effect: Upon a successful Block, the Block MP cost is reduced by 50%. After the final evolution: Shield Bash gains bonus damage based on armor and maintains your guard while attacking. Raise armor for both damage and survival, and use it from a position where enemy attacks reach you head-on.

3Combat loop

  1. Face your shield toward the incoming attack.
  2. Keep MP available and use Shield Bash to attack while defending your front.
  3. If attacks come from the side, release your guard and move where you can face them again.

Boss fights

Match Shield Bash to single frontal attacks, but avoid repeated attacks from multiple directions.

Without the core items

Without Beast's Heart, get armor from Cloth Armor and Broken Mirror.
