03 · HOW TO PLAY
Playing this build
1Early preparation
With Colossal Crossbow, create distance before attacking to account for slower movement while firing. Use Forest Cat's movement speed to find your next firing position.
2Upgrades and transition
Reload Device reduces normal attack damage and changes the special attack to Advanced Reload. After evolving into Twin, use its two-shot firing and movement while attacking.
3Combat loop
- Maintain distance from enemies while landing both shots of your normal attack.
- Move sideways far enough to avoid projectiles, then reload the empty magazine.
- If enemies close in faster, dash to establish a new firing lane.
Boss fights
Against a boss's straight-line attacks, move sideways before firing. Use the movement bonus, but do not assume it removes every slowdown while firing.
Without the core items
Without Pinwheel, choose Golden Cloak or Compression Bandage. If using Silver Bracelet, accept that its movement speed penalty also works against the weapon's unique conversion.
