03 · HOW TO PLAY

Playing this build

1Early preparation

With the Steel Greatsword, use normal attack chains at the edge of your reach and Whirlwind charged safely in advance. Look for openings after enemy attacks so you do not get hit while charging. Use the items prepared at the Wishing Fountain; the final weapon's unique effect becomes available after evolution.

2Upgrades and transition

Steel Greatsword → Hypersensitivity → Black Iron Halberd. Intermediate weapon effect: Damage from Special Attack: Whirlwind increases by 20% and its charge speed increases by 50%. After the final evolution: Hits on Whirlwind's outer edge deal 50% extra damage and restore HP equal to 0.7% of outer-edge damage. Adjust your distance so enemies touch the edge of the enlarged Whirlwind.

3Combat loop

  1. Adjust your distance for an outer-edge hit while charging.
  2. Release when an enemy reaches Whirlwind's edge.
  3. Even after healing, move away and prepare the next outer-edge attack.

Boss fights
