01 · SETUP

Starting setup

Availability depends on your unlocks

Recommended character

Orange Rabbit

Debuff damage +14% strengthens damage over time. The defense -8 penalty calls for repositioning after attacks and equipment that improves survival.

Fruit skewer 6 total

  • Cherry(Curse)×3
  • Wind Spirit Fruit(Wind Song)×2
  • Peanut(Sturdy)×1

Wishing fountain Fountain usage 9 of 9

  • Oink Shaman’s NecklaceCapacity 5
  • Warrior SealCapacity 4
Why this choice
Prepare Oink Shaman’s Necklace and Warrior Seal at the Wishing Fountain. This uses 9/9 capacity, and the items must be unlocked first. Then collect items in the same categories to complete the target combos.

Talents 50 points

  • Willpower20
  • Swiftness20
  • Wrath10
Why this choice
Willpower 20 adds 15 maximum HP and 25 maximum MP and provides 9 Wishing Fountain capacity. Swiftness 20 adds 20% attack speed, 8 evasion, and 1 dash charge. It also increases dash recovery speed and final weapon damage. At level 20, dash invincibility lasts 0.1 seconds longer, with an additional final weapon damage bonus. Wrath 10 adds 10% critical chance and 20% critical damage. Damage dealt to bosses and minibosses also increases by 10%. Uses 50 points in total.

Recommended miracle

Berserker

  • All damage +20%
  • Defense -15
  • Gain 1 artifact without a category restriction (selected from unlocked, eligible candidates)
Why this choice
Increase all damage by 20% at the cost of 15 defense. Use it with separate defensive and healing options, and gain 1 artifact without a category restriction. The granted item is selected from candidates that meet the unlock and eligibility requirements, so a particular core item is not guaranteed.

Stat priorities

  2. Attack speed
  3. Physical damage and normal attack damage

02 · SYNERGY

Target bonds and core items

Prioritize the items below when available. Reaching the target combo requires additional items of the same category and their placement; leveling an item alone does not increase the combo count.

Primary

Curse

4Combo target
  • Oink Shaman’s Necklace

Extend debuffs applied to enemies, making their effects easier to maintain during pauses in attacking.

  • Green Ink Bottle

Applying a debuff has a chance to apply the same debuff to nearby enemies. Use this when enemies are grouped closely together.

  • Scrap of Red Cloth

Deal additional damage based on the number of debuffs on the enemy. Apply debuffs first, then use follow-up hits to exploit the effect.

Bond choices and conditions
Keep debuffs active longer before the explosion and spread them to nearby enemies. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.
Support

Wind Song

6Combo target
  • Sword Training Manual

Increase attack speed to chain weapon attacks more quickly.

  • Wanderer's Necklace

Increase attack speed and your highest elemental damage. Support your main element while repeating attacks.

Bond choices and conditions
Increase attack speed to stack Wound quickly before the explosion. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.
Support

Sturdy

4Combo target
  • Warrior Seal

Increase physical damage and attack speed to strengthen weapon attacks.

  • Begonia Sachet

Increase normal attack damage. Use it with weapon effects that benefit from normal attack bonuses.

Bond choices and conditions
Increase physical damage and normal-attack damage, which form the basis of the weapon hits dealt as chaos damage. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.

03 · HOW TO PLAY

Playing this build

1Early preparation

With the Steel Greatsword, use normal attack chains at the edge of your reach and Whirlwind charged safely in advance. Look for openings after enemy attacks so you do not get hit while charging. Use the items prepared at the Wishing Fountain; the final weapon's unique effect becomes available after evolution.

2Upgrades and transition

Steel Greatsword → Crimson Thorn → The Inquisitor. Intermediate weapon effect: Attacks the target and inflicts Wound. After the final evolution: The weapon's physical damage is applied as chaos damage, and Whirlwind becomes Wound Explosion. Stack debuffs, then remove them to cause an explosion; rebuild stacks afterward.

3Combat loop

  1. Build stacks on the target with weapon attacks and supporting debuffs.
  2. Use Wound Explosion once targets gather within its blast radius.
  3. After debuffs are removed, return to stacking them.

Boss fights

Land the explosion just before the boss moves or after a long stacking period. Do not hastily remove debuffs after every hit and lose damage over time.

Without the core items

Without spreading items, maintain single-target debuffs with Oink Shaman’s Necklace and focus explosions on the boss.

04 · REVIEW NOTES

Cautions and scope of verification

Conditions to watch

  • Wound Explosion removes debuffs, briefly interrupting existing debuff bonuses.
  • Berserker's -15 armor stacks with the character's -8 armor, so obtain separate defense and recovery.

Needs further verification

  • The explosion damage constant per removed debuff stack has not been established.
