01 · SETUP

Starting setup

Availability depends on your unlocks

Recommended character

Ghost

Spells cost no MP, so place greater emphasis on spellbooks. Final weapon damage is reduced by 40%, so do not make weapon hits your main damage source.

Fruit skewer 6 total

  • Blueberry(Academy)×3
  • Orange(Ember)×2
  • Tri-Tangerine(Elemental)×1

Wishing fountain Fountain usage 7 of 9

  • Mage's CoinCapacity 3
  • DragoncenseCapacity 4
Why this choice
Prepare Mage's Coin and Dragoncense at the Wishing Fountain. This uses 7/9 capacity, and the items must be unlocked first. Then collect items in the same categories to complete the target combos.

Talents 50 points

  • Willpower20
  • Ingenuity20
  • Swiftness10
Why this choice
Willpower 20 adds 15 maximum HP and 25 maximum MP and provides 9 Wishing Fountain capacity. Ingenuity 20 improves maximum HP, evasion, and inventory space, and increases weapon, item, and miracle choices. Also gain 7% final damage per active combo category. Swiftness 10 adds 10% attack speed, 8 evasion, and 1 dash charge. It also increases dash recovery speed and final weapon damage. Uses 50 points in total.

Recommended miracle

Elementalist

  • Fire damage +7
  • Ice damage +7
  • Lightning damage +7
  • Gain 1 Academy artifact (selected from unlocked, eligible candidates)
Why this choice
Add 7 each to fire, ice, and lightning damage to support elemental attacks, and gain 1 Academy artifact. The granted item is selected from candidates that meet the unlock and eligibility requirements, so a particular core item is not guaranteed.

Stat priorities

  1. Spellbook acceleration and damage
  2. Fire damage and Burn damage
  3. Elemental damage for your main spell
  4. Core artifact levels and defensive stats

02 · SYNERGY

Target bonds and core items

Prioritize the items below when available. Reaching the target combo requires additional items of the same category and their placement; leveling an item alone does not increase the combo count.

Primary

Academy

8Combo target
  • Mage's Coin

Increase spellbook acceleration to cast more often. Also increase the chance of spellbooks appearing in rewards, helping you obtain your main spells.

  • Meditation Book

Use spellbooks instantly without a separate casting animation and increase spellbook damage. This makes it easier to move or use weapon attacks after casting.

  • Rylie’s Pocket Watch

Increase spellbook acceleration and critical damage while reducing spellbook MP consumption. For Ghost, who casts without MP, acceleration and critical damage are the main benefits.

Bond choices and conditions
Increase Grimoire Haste and damage, and use instant casting to leave more room for movement. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.
Support

Ember

6Combo target
  • Dragoncense

Increase fire damage to strengthen fire attacks and related artifacts.

  • Red Snake Eyes

Drop a fiery meteor near the player, applying Burn to enemies hit. Stay within meteor range to make use of fire damage and Burn.

  • Ball of Red Yarn

Increase Burn damage to strengthen damage over time against burning enemies.

Bond choices and conditions
Strengthen the fire damage and Burn of the starting Fire Arrow and supporting meteors. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.
Support

Elemental

4Combo target
  • Standards of Magic

Increase your highest elemental damage and spellbook damage. The spellbook damage bonus does not apply to all weapon attacks.

  • Magic Carrot

Increase your highest elemental damage and movement speed to support your main elemental attacks and spacing.

Bond choices and conditions
Increase the highest elemental damage and Grimoire damage to support the main spell. You do not need every recommended item. Reach the target combo with other items in the same category and placement bonuses.

03 · HOW TO PLAY

Playing this build

1Early preparation

Use the starting Fire Arrow spell as your main attack from the Steel Greatsword stage onward. Ghost spends no MP on spells but has 40% less final weapon damage, so add weapon attacks while spells are on cooldown. Use your Wishing Fountain items; the final weapon's unique effect becomes available after evolution.

2Upgrades and transition

Steel Greatsword → Troubling Delight → Legacy of the Illusionist. Intermediate weapon effect: Weapon Attack is changed to a form that uses Laser. After the final evolution: Use the 50% Grimoire Haste increase to cast frequently, adding laser attacks during cooldowns. Ghost's spells cost no MP, but its final weapon damage is reduced by 40%, so make magic your main damage source.

3Combat loop

  1. Aim the starting Fire Arrow where enemies finish moving.
  2. Prioritize casting spells that quickly become available again.
  3. While spells are on cooldown, attack with lasers or move.

Boss fights

Prioritize reliable spell hits and evasion over standing still to land lasers.

Without the core items

Without Meditation Book, allow time to move safely after casting, and supplement haste with Mage's Coin.

04 · REVIEW NOTES

Cautions and scope of verification

Conditions to watch

  • A laser's appearance does not mean it uses spellbook damage classification.
  • Spell projectile count and the number of spell casts are different.
  • Do not treat weapon critical chance as the same stat as spellbook-specific critical chance.

Needs further verification

No specific unresolved issues are listed. This does not mean performance has been verified in actual play.
