03 · HOW TO PLAY
Playing this build
1Early preparation
With Colossal Crossbow, mix Ice Bolt with normal firing and use a quiver to shorten reload gaps.
2Upgrades and transition
Shift to firing during the Frost Veil buff, then prioritize reloading after confirming Expansion Device's fixed 5 shots and piercing frostbite ammunition.
3Combat loop
- Fill the magazine, activate Frost Veil, then fire in the direction enemies are lined up.
- After spending five shots, reload quickly in a safe position.
- If the veil remains, fire another piercing volley; if it has ended, restore MP and reposition.
Boss fights
Find an angle that can pierce enemies behind the boss, but prioritize evading the boss's attacks. Do not approach the boss just before reloading.
Without the core items
Without Fluffy Fur Gloves, improve ice damage with Charm of Intelligence and Frostium Ring. Without Crossbow Quiver, support reloading with Stiff Crank.
