Playing this build
1Early preparation
Before evolution, offset the character's physical damage reduction with Ice Bolt. Attack briefly and withdraw while Echo of the Glacier applies Frostbite to nearby enemies.
2Upgrades and transition
Dormant Frost changes the attack's base element to ice. Frozen Smelt uses Frostbite from special attacks and additional applications from Fury.
3Combat loop
- Gain Trance through parries while creating opportunities for special-attack hits.
- Apply Frostbite repeatedly with Fury and follow with ice attacks against affected enemies.
- Even without a freeze, manage distance safely and reapply the effect.
Boss fights
Do not assume the boss will always stop without checking freeze immunity. Preserve Fury's defensive and movement functions while maintaining ice damage.
Without the core items
Without Echo of the Glacier, start with Charm of Intelligence to secure the tier-2 Glacier bond alongside Ice Bolt.
