03 · HOW TO PLAY

Playing this build

1Early preparation

Learn normal firing and reloading with Colossal Crossbow. Enhanced condensation is not available yet, so use the enhanced-arrow special separately.

2Upgrades and transition

With M-9199, learn to spend 10 MP combining the current ammo, then fire it with a normal attack. With M-9200, load the base 14 rounds, keep at least 11 before condensation, and check the enhancement indicator.

3Combat loop

  1. Reload to fill the magazine and confirm at least 11 rounds remain before condensation.
  2. Condense with the special attack, then confirm the enhanced-condensation indicator is active.
  3. Fire the condensed round at the boss or enemy group with a normal attack, then prepare the next magazine.

Boss fights

Finish condensation before the boss stops moving. If too many preliminary normal shots drop you below the enhancement threshold, reload first.

Without the core items

If critical items are scarce, strengthen normal attacks with Begonia Sachet and Warrior Seal. Without Crossbow Quiver, use Stiff Crank and focus on making the single condensed shot hit reliably.

Cautions and scope of verification

Conditions to watch

  • The weapon description states that enhancement requires condensing 10 or more rounds. The verified implementation uses the pre-condensation ammo count minus 1, so keep at least 11 rounds and check the enhancement indicator.
  • The condensation special prepares the round; the actual shot is a normal attack. Do not replace this with a build that only increases special attack damage.
  • Reloading Wooden Crate's magazine count differs from capacity per magazine, and its level 1 effect is 0, so do not use it as a way to increase starting capacity.
