03 · HOW TO PLAY
Playing this build
1Early preparation
With Blade, learn sheathing timing and collect Evasion equipment. Ranged Heavy Slash is not available yet, so attack reliably only within melee range.
2Upgrades and transition
With Long Blade 'Onohara', attack speed investment applies to Heavy Slash. After obtaining Beast Marks Sword 'Hou', use its ranged hit and damage scaling with Evasion.
3Combat loop
- Secure both Evasion and attack speed.
- Sheathe outside the enemy's attack range, then land Heavy Slash.
- When enemies approach, move sideways, create distance again, and slash.
Boss fights
Evade the boss's straight charge, then land a ranged Heavy Slash. Choose a long enough opening to avoid the next pattern during the slow attack motion.
Without the core items
Instead of Model Beak, supplement Evasion with Pinwheel or Magic Glasses. If attack speed is low, use fewer Heavy Slashes and prioritize the range advantage.
