Playing this build
1Early preparation
Use Blade alongside Fire Bolt to establish Burn first. Compensate for early physical damage reduction with magic and Phoenix Wing's fire attacks.
2Upgrades and transition
Helbanus adds extra fire damage to weapon hits. After evolving into Blazing Helbanus, improve application methods to fill the increased Burn limit.
3Combat loop
- Start Burn with Fire Bolt or Phoenix Wing.
- Land normal attacks and Heavy Slashes during safe openings to deal extra fire damage.
- Move while maintaining Burn, and prioritize relevant items if application is insufficient.
Boss fights
Keep Burn on the boss, then create distance during its patterns. Do not add a risky Heavy Slash just because the debuff is still active.
Without the core items
Without Magma Bead, maintain Burn with Phoenix Wing and Flame Touch from the Ember bond. When raising the maximum Burn stacks, also check whether you can apply Burn fast enough to fill them.
