03 · HOW TO PLAY
At the Blade stage, learn dash attacks and sheathed defense. Build Rusty Tsuba's block count while preparing for evolution.
With Mark I, spending a dash makes the spirit attack twice. With Mark II, the cooldown drops to 1 second and becomes shorter according to the dash-count stat. The spirit also counterattacks when you block an attack through sheathing.
Block single boss attacks through sheathing and dash away from wide attacks. Alternate these actions so each becomes a chance to trigger the spirit.
Even without upgrading to Master's Tsuba, use the base sheathing window to block only patterns you know reliably. Without Golden Cloak, supplement recovery and damage with Compression Bandage and Windgrass Scarf.
