03 · HOW TO PLAY
Playing this build
1Early preparation
At the Blade stage, progress with Ice Bolt and basic attacks while collecting Frost Relic equipment. Skadi does not trigger after tackles yet.
2Upgrades and transition
Learn tackles and extra ice damage with Winter Smith's Draftblade. After Fragment of Nastrond, attacking immediately after a tackle becomes Skadi's trigger.
3Combat loop
- Tackle when approaching enemies or avoiding attacks.
- Attack immediately after the tackle to trigger Skadi.
- During Skadi's cooldown, keep enemies inside the trap area and use supporting relics while preparing the next attack.
Boss fights
Land the post-tackle attack where the boss stays to place Skadi. Against frequently moving bosses, target stationary openings rather than long pursuits.
Without the core items
Without items that add activations, increase base Skadi damage first with Tiny Magic Conch and Charm of Intelligence. Delay taking Droplet of Plitvice if MP is insufficient.
