03 · HOW TO PLAY
Playing this build
1Early preparation
At the Blade stage, survive with defensive equipment; defense does not convert to normal attack damage yet. Block dangerous attacks with sheathed defense.
2Upgrades and transition
From Armor-Bender onward, every 2 defense increases normal attack damage by 1%. After evolving into Breakplate Blade, gain Hardening every 0.8 seconds while drawn; sheathing at maximum stacks transforms normal attacks.
3Combat loop
- Keep moving and using normal attacks while drawn to stack Hardening to maximum.
- When Hardening reaches maximum, sheathe at a safe moment to enhance normal attacks.
- After using the transformed normal attack, build Hardening again while drawn. Prioritize dashing or defense against dangerous patterns.
Boss fights
Stay drawn to build Hardening while avoiding the boss's patterns. When Hardening reaches maximum, sheathe and use the transformed normal attack during the boss's opening.
Without the core items

Conditions to watch
- Hardening builds while drawn, and sheathing at maximum stacks transforms normal attacks. Remaining drawn continuously misses this enhanced attack.
- The damage bonus proportional to defense applies to normal attacks. Special attacks and magic do not receive the same bonus.
- Be careful: the Berserker miracle's 15 defense reduction lowers both survival and normal attack damage.
