03 · HOW TO PLAY

Playing this build

1Early preparation

Even at the Quarterstaff stage, activate the tier 2 Solar Blade bond and learn the attack-then-retrieve cycle. The special attack is still the base Riposte.

2Upgrades and transition

Staff of Embers provides fire-based weapon attacks. After Solis Braca, focus on the extra Solar Blade from retrieval and Solar Spear Forging.

3Combat loop

  1. Launch Solar Blades with weapon and magic attacks.
  2. Pick up safely placed blades yourself or retrieve them with Meteorite Pauldrons.
  3. Watch your available resources as you use Solar Spear Forging, then retrieve again.

Boss fights

Use the forging attack during boss openings, then retrieve fallen blades safely during the next pattern. Do not enter an attack pattern just to collect blades beneath enemies.

Without the core items

If Meteorite Pauldrons are locked, first reach the tier 2 Solar Blade bond with Solis Fracto, Ancient Anvil, or similar items. Another option is Meteorite Earrings, which make blades fall closer.
